SEND and Support for Parents
Who is the SENCO and what is their role ?
At St Vincent's, our SENCO is Mrs Dowler. If you would like to ask a questions or arrange an appointment with our SENCO, please contact the school office on 01565 633637. Alternatively, you can email her at [email protected]. Mrs Dowler now works on Wednesday but will endevour to respond in a timely mannor.
What should you do if you think your child may have additional needs?
If you have any concerns regarding any aspect of your child’s education, your first point of contact should be your child’s class teacher. Class teachers are usually available at the end of the school day and are happy to arrange an appointment should a longer or more detailed discussion be required. Where necessary, the class teacher may seek the advice or involvement of the school’s SENCO. Alternatively, parents and carers may contact the SENCO directly via email at [email protected].

Termly SEND Coffee Morning
We will be holding our Termly SEND Coffee Morning on Thursday 5th November at 9:00am in the School Hall.
This informal session will provide an opportunity for parents and carers to discuss recent developments in SEND and changes within Cheshire East. It will also be a chance to share ideas and help plan our programme for the year ahead.
We hope to invite a range of professionals to future coffee mornings to explain the support and services they offer and to answer any questions you may have.
We look forward to welcoming you and hearing your views.
Additionaly, Cheshire East are also offering informal drop-in sessions providing an opportunity to meet other parent carers, enjoy a free tea or coffee, and speak with professionals from Cheshire East services in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
