In Year 5 we are working on making good choices and being supportive, cooperative and enthusiastic learners. We take great pride in ourselves, our work and in our class environment and have great fun at the same time. As Upper Key Stage 2, we have a lot to live up to so it is important to always be in the correct, smart uniform, to remember everything we need for each day and to show younger members of our school how to behave correctly.
Year 5 is a year where we grow and mature and pride ourselves in taking on roles of responsibility in school.
Our School Councillors this year are Grace F and Hattie. Congratulations! I am sure they will be fantastic representatives of Year 5.

Reminders
All children need their own, named water bottle in school EVERY DAY.
Homework books/diaries need to be brought home and returned when work is due.
Homework timetable:
Monday: Spelling homework for the following Monday
Tuesday: Times tables rockstars TTRS and reading
Wednesday: Alternate weeks of SPAG and Comprehension CGP book (due in the following Wednesday)
Thursday: Times tables rockstars TTRS and reading
Friday: Maths homework for the following Friday
PE
PE will be taught by Coach Dave on a Thursday and Friday. Please ensure you have the correct PE kit in school ready for your lesson.
Please do not hesitate to come and talk to me if you need anything - the key to success for our lovely children this year will most definitely be teamwork and establishing strong home-school links.
