E-Safety and Safeguarding

At St. Vincent's we spend a lot of time talking to our pupils about keeping safe. On this page you will find links to useful information that will help you keep you and your children safe.

Internet Matters

Clinking on the link on the right will take you to Internet matters. This website was set up by the big four internet providers and is aimed at supporting parents to keep their children safe online when using the internet, mobile devices, apps and gaming consoles. By clicking on ‘Control’ it allows you to select your device and it will give you simple to follow guides on how to set up effective parent and safety controls.

Think u know

Clicking on the link to the right will take you to the ‘Think u know’ website. This is a brilliant website that we use at school to support the teaching of e-safety. It is aimed at the children and has many activities and games for them to play while also learning about e-safety.

CEOP - Child Exploitation and Online Protection

Click on the CEOP link to find the latest information on the sites you like to visit, mobiles and new technology. Find out what’s good, what’s not and what you can do about it. This website it aimed at adults and we do not recommend you use it with children.

Most importantly, there’s also a place which anyone can use to report if they feel uncomfortable or worried about online abuse or the way someone has been communicating online.

Child Line

Clicking the link on the right will take you to the ‘Child Line’ website. This is a free number for children to phone when they are feeling worried or unsafe.

NSPCC - Talking Pants

Clicking the link to the right takes you to the 'NSPCC' website. Here you will find the information for their current initiative 'Pants are Private'.
